Montemagno sits proudly atop a hill in the spectacular Monferrato wine region of Piedmont. It's medieval castle, small alleyways and fortified walls are still alive with activity. It's piazza is the hub of activity with a weekly market, local sporting events and periodic local celebrations. The view in any direction is a spectacular mix of vinyards, farms, wineries, other hill towns and distant Alpine mountains. The Monferrato wine region was designated by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site in 2014 for its long and important history.
